Role Description The Accounts Receivable Manager is a full-time, hybrid role based in Lafayette, LA, with flexibility for part of the work to be performed from home. This role oversees the accounts receivable function, including the timely and accurate processing of customer invoices, monitoring of outstanding balances, and management of collections activities. The Accounts Receivable Manager will review credit terms, assess customer creditworthiness, and collaborate with sales and operations teams to resolve billing issues and disputes. Day-to-day responsibilities include reconciling accounts, preparing aging reports, analyzing receivables trends, and ensuring compliance with company accounting policies. The role also involves implementing process improvements, maintaining internal controls, and providing leadership and guidance to accounts receivable staff.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong analytical skills to interpret data, identify trends, and support decision-making.
• Candidates should possess finance and accounting skills, including an understanding of general ledger, revenue recognition, and cash application.
• Candidates should possess invoicing skills, including experience with billing processes, issuing accurate invoices, and reconciling customer accounts.
• Candidates should possess credit management skills, including evaluating credit risk, setting credit limits, and managing collections strategies.
• Relevant experience in accounts receivable management or a similar role, preferably in a corporate or multi-customer environment.
• Proficiency with accounting or ERP systems and common office software (e.g., Excel, accounting platforms).
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Supervisory or team lead experience in a finance or accounting function is beneficial.
