Job Summary

One of our environmental engineers is moving into a supervisor role in water treatment, and we need someone who can step in and own the air side of our compliance program without a ramp-up. Our two-person environmental team has run air and water in separate lanes for years. You're the hire that starts changing that. You'll take the air reporting and compliance work as your own from the start, support the water and radiation responsibilities, and help us cross-train the team so everyone can cover both sides.

Duties

• Own our air compliance program: complete TCEQ reporting and compliance data across weekly, monthly, and annual cycles.

• Support water and radiation responsibilities as the team moves toward shared ownership of all environmental areas.
\n
• Work shoulder to shoulder with plant departments on equipment, reporting accuracy, and corrective actions when something goes wrong.
\n
• Bring an owner's eye to a plant that is growing fast, where your compliance work shapes how we operate for years.

Qualifications

\n
• Degree in environmental engineering or a closely related discipline.
\n
• 5+ years of relevant plant experience, including at least two years completing air compliance data and reporting for TCEQ.
\n
• Multiple completed reporting cycles and a real command of the requirements. We are not looking to teach the fundamentals.
\n
• Experience in a refinery, chemical plant, or another manufacturing or processing environment where the facility manages air emissions. Steel experience is not required.
\n
• The willingness to be on site every day. This is a plant job, not a remote or traveling consulting seat.
\n
• Water compliance, permit renewal, or permit submission experience, which is a strong plus.
\n
